She supports SFL and clients in the set up, maintenance and risk management of Pharmaceutical Quality Systems according to Swiss and EU regulations. She is involved in the preparation and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), monitoring of compliance to SOPs, preparation of Establishment License documentation and monitoring of Quality System performance (e.g. tracking of Change Controls, Corrective and Preventative Actions, Quality Metrics and Risk Metrics). Moreover, Ausma puts her native English skills and fluency in German to use for language checking of interdisciplinary documents and supporting interactions with clients.
Before joining SFL, Ausma conducted postdoctoral research with the focus on non-coding RNAs and gene editing at the Max Planck Institute for Immunobiology and Epigenetics in Freiburg (Germany); the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research in Basel; and T3 Pharmaceuticals, a spin-off company of the University of Basel. She holds a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology and a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
